Smoke & Oak is intended for users of legal age to purchase and consume alcohol and tobacco products in their jurisdiction. The app is not intended for children.
This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how Smoke & Oak handles information related to your use of the app, including your journal entries, tasting notes, and preferences.
When you use the app, you may create content such as notes, ratings, tags, photos, and journal entries. These are stored so the app can show your history and preferences across sessions and devices.
If you sign in, basic account information (such as your email address) is stored to link your tasting data and collections to your account. We store and manage this account data using Supabase.
The app may collect basic, aggregated usage information (such as which screens are used most) to improve features and stability. This is intended to be used at a technical and statistical level, not to build personal profiles.
If you choose to upload bottle or cigar photos, those images are stored so they can appear in your collection and notes. Do not upload images you do not have the right to share.
Your data is used to power app features such as your journal, saved collections, wishlists, and personalization (for example, taste-based suggestions within the app). It is not intended to be sold or shared with advertisers.
Your data is generally kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete the app or stop using it, some data may remain on the server unless there is a way provided to delete your account or request removal.
You can choose how much you store in Smoke & Oak. You may keep your usage minimal, avoid photos, or periodically clear personal notes if you prefer. If a full account deletion feature is added in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect it.
This policy may change as the app evolves. When it does, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continuing to use the app after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
